Re: simplemail (formerly simpletext) and referential markup

Thanks for the comments, Lee.  I think if you read my original posting
on simpletext, you will see why SGML constructs don't make much sense
here (though I'll check out the IDREF mechanism).  I am also (for good
intellectual reasons which I won't go into here, but will refer you to
the CACM article mentioned in the simpletext message), opposed to
procedural markup such as ``bold, italic, paragraphs, special squiggles
(&pilcrow;) and so forth''.
