Yes. If Eudora did the right thing, Resent-* fields would be used for
the "Redirect" command, but not the "Forward" command.
Forwarding creates a new message where the From: field contains the
person who is doing the forwarding and the To: field is the person
who gets the forwarded message, the Date: fields is the date the
message was forwarded, perhaps even the Subject: field starts with
"Fwd:", etc.. Likely the body of the message contains (at least some)
of the header fields of the original message.
Resending (where Resent-* fields are used) is when the From:, To:,
Date:, etc. fields of the resent message all contain what the
original message contained. The body is the same as the original
message. What's different is that the resent message doesn't go to
the person in the To: field, but instead goes to the person in the
Resent-To: field. That way, replies to the message (if done by most
MUAs) go to the original author, *not* the resender of the message.
See the difference?
