[Asrg] Terminology...

Vernon (or anyone who's interested);

Are you volunteering to develop the first-cut of a terminology draft? I think
this type of run at a set of defining terms has been mentioned (at least by me
;) a couple of times. Dropping the 'spam' one which I think is currently under
development still leaves plenty of fodder to pick through. Brad introduced a
list of terms as well in an earlier message.

There is also the issue of types of 'spammer' tactics/methods. It appears we
have a wealth of experience with different types but no basis reference that we
can share, that would also appear to be a worthwhile endeavor.

There are many components in the various definitions of spam out there, and
proposals can be created to deal with these sub-components, and thus become
tools for people to build tools to attack their vision of what spam is.
 Amongst
those sub components are:
                Bulk(volume) vs. Person to Person
Subscribed (Explicitly, directly solicited) vs. Unsubscribed
                Reply vs. Origination
                Existing Relationship vs. Stranger
These are all components of spam definitions which we can work with without
laying down a spam definition. Some other components much harder to define
are:
                Parameters of implicit solicitation
                Degrees of existing relationship
