Forgive me in advance for a really basic, quite possibly dumb,
question. What does DKIM do that receivers find valuable? What does an
ISP or large corporate receiving entity hope to get out of DKIM
adoption?

Authentication + reputation of single monolithic senders (d=) - yes, valuable.

Reputation model that can be slightly more fine grained
(i=good.aol.com, bad.aol.com, ugly.aol.com) - yes valuable.

And do you forget that receivers are senders too? My users send lots
of email to AOL / Yahoo, and their users to me.

DKIM is valuable. d= is valuable. As for i= - well, its quite useful
to the sending side.
