You can choose to trust his assertions (by querying his list on
verification failures) or ignore them (by not querying him in the
first place). At least that's the theory, I believe.
Exactly. This is a scalability issue. You can afford to spend a fair
amount of effort investigating the reliability of a VBR service before
you decide whether to use it, just like you do investigating the
reliability of a DNSBL, because you'll never use more than a handful
of either.
