Re: The address-in-certs issue

Just a thought, folks:

I know a lot of you are going to be at the RSA Conference in January, and
this seems to be an especially busy time for S/MIME. Would it be a good idea
to reserve a meeting room where all you S/MIME types can get together, maybe
at the Fairmont or the Masonic?

The S/MIME working group charter says that we are going to use the PKIX
certificate infrastructure.  To this end, we should use the subjectAltName
to carry an rfc822Name if an e-mail address is desired in the certificate.
