Hi !
I'm working on a study about conformity of some SMTP Mailer products for my
company and i need some help to determine if a specific DSN is in conformity
with RFC.
The DSN received has for the command part :
MAIL FROM: <> // is it normal to have
an empty adress in the MAIL FROM ?
RCPT TO: <Z(_at_)zoo(_dot_)test(_dot_)fr>
For the header part :
Message-ID:
<6699498(_dot_)1032443120260(_dot_)MyMTA(_at_)paris1>
Date: Thu, 19 Sep 2002 13:45:20 +0000 (GMT)
To: Z(_at_)zoo(_dot_)test(_dot_)fr
Subject: Mail successfully delivered
Mime-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: multipart/report;
report-type=delivery-status;
boundary="166980(_dot_)1032443120260(_dot_)MyMTA(_at_)paris1"

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii
--166980(_dot_)1032443120260(_dot_)MyMTA(_at_)paris1
Content-Type: message/delivery-status
Original-Envelope-Id: 122
Reporting-MTA: dns; paris1
Received-From-MTA: dsn;gwpass
Arrival-Date: Thu, 19 Sep 2002 13:45:20 (GMT)
Original-Recipient: rfc822;jean(_at_)toulouse(_dot_)fr
Final-Recipient: rfc822; jean(_at_)toulouse(_dot_)fr
Action: delivered
Status: 2.1.5
Remote-MTA: dns; 192.9.112.32
Diagnostic-Code: SMTP; Mail has been delivered to
U's maildrop
Last-Attempt-Date: Thu, 19 Sep 2002 13:45:20 (GMT)
--166980(_dot_)1032443120260(_dot_)MyMTA(_at_)paris1
Content-Type: text/rfc822-headers
--166980(_dot_)1032443120260(_dot_)MyMTA(_at_)paris1--
My Main Question is : Is it normal for a DSN to have an empty value in the
Command and to have no From Field in the header part ?
Thanks a lot for your reply.
