And (I forgot to note) by failing to address the mandatory angle brackets
required by RFC 822 and forbidden by RFC 821.  As well as other special
characters which typically appear in either the local-part or domain of
a msg-id, notably '.' required in domain names and '[' and ']' in domain
literals.
