Section 4.2.1 3yz - should send another command

2007-04-10 08:49:44

Hi,

This is probably a minor nit, but this section:

   3yz Positive Intermediate reply

The command has been accepted, but the requested action is being held
in abeyance, pending receipt of further information. The SMTP client
should send another command specifying this information. This reply is
used in command sequence groups (i.e., in DATA).

Says "the SMTP client should send another command". But for DATA, another
command is not sent, but actual data. I suppose it depends on how one
defines command, and if command has been defined to be anything a
client sends, then I suppose this is ok. If it isn't, a possible fix
would be:

The SMTP client should send another command specifying this information
or proceed by sending data that is relevant to the current SMTP state.
