Mine does the same thing. I want to treat A-label and U-label versions
of domain names the same throughout the MTA, so it turns them all into
A-labels on the way in, and only back into U-labels when sending
UTF8SMTP mail. Works fine.
I don't think this is something the draft should address. It's an
implementation detail down in the weeds.
