Hi. I realise this may be too late, as RFC 3023 is soon to be published,
but I thought I'd point it out. Section A.4 says:
XML-based data types will most likely be registered in ALL top-level
categories. Potential, though currently unregistered, examples could
include application/mathml+xml[MathML], model/uml+xml[UML], and
image/svg+xml[SVG].
I don't believe UML has models in the sense RFC 2077 defines. For
instance, UML models don't "have scaling or calibration factors which are
related to physical units (force, momentum, time, velocity, acceleration,
size, etc.)." [RFC 2077 s.2]
Maybe you should change that example to something more plausible.
(Sorry, I haven't found any good candidates yet.)
