And on this note, doing something wrong and being corrected is always a
better choice than not doing something.

If this is about disagreement about someone elses proposal and speaking up,
then that should be OK most of the time (but not always).

But otherwise, if you do something and rely entirely on others to
watch you, to notice when you're wrong and to tell you before it
becomes costly to fix or is too late to change, then you might be
acting irresponsibly.
