Having just done it, I'm happy to report that there was little finger-crossing
involved. The fact that there's a fairly comprehensive test suite included in
the source code in the RFC makes it quite easy to gain confidence that the
non-test code was extracted intact, beyond the simple lack of compiler warnings.
