Yes, good solution. With the Ombusdpersons, the IETF can create a group
of volunteers who act as mentors for non-native English (particularly)
when they make a mistake that eventually bother some participants or
demonstrate the need for a follow up for some time.
This sounds like a genuinely useful proposal.
Currently, I suspect most non-native-speakers are in practice mentored
by other people from the same organization. This would work in
practice, but it only solves the problem for people from organizations
large enough to send multiple people to the IETF.
