Earl,
Thanks for the link...I had come across that page before but I guess I am still
not sure if what I want to accomplish is feasible. What I would like to do is
(since the mail server is MS exchange :-( and removes the in-reply to and
references info) is to define the configuration files in such a way so that:
When I have subjects like:
1)Problem on Ticket: 2006060500003
2)Update on Ticket: 2006060500003
3)Update 2 on Ticket: 2006060500003
it will look to use the ticket # as the definition of what is a thread and what
is not.
Also...I have some other lists as well that might use other formats and would
like to specify a different set of criteria for those...is it possible to have
individual criteria for each list.
Thanks in advance,
Shain

I have a question concerning how mharc determines which messages should
be placed together as threads. I am using mharc to archive some of our
email here at work and sometimes the usual 'reply to' formats are not
followed. For example:
After an email is sent out users do not always reply to the
email...sometimes the users forward it on the distribution list....I am
assuming that messages are grouped together when they appear to be 'in
reply' to another message.
See <http://www.mhonarc.org/MHonArc/doc/faq/threads.html#howthreads>
