I am archiving a large mailing list (few hundred mails/month), so
I use multipage indices. (Separately for each month.) I also include a
link to the first and last pages on every index page, using the $LASTPG$
variable. I add the new messages each night with option -add.
The problem is that while the number of pages steadily increases, only
the newest index files get updated, so as a result the link to the last
page is not correct on the first page(s).
I can run with option -editidx, but that rewrites all the message files
also, which is not necessary in this case.
Is there an easy solution to this problem?
