I have setup a list with majordomo and MHonarc (Very good job indeed). I
have found that the mesages sent by a person (the father of the topic...)
don't get parsed as messages. I haven't seen more messages that don't get
added. He is using the mail application that comes with IE3 (He says that
IE4 is overkill)
The data:
OS: Linux bipt106.bi.ehu.es 2.0.35 #1 Thu Jul 23 14:01:04 EDT 1998 i586
unknown
Perl: This is perl, version 5.004_04 built for i386-linux
MHonarc: MHonArc v2.3.3 (Perl 5.00404)
The command line:
/usr/bin/mhonarc -add -title "PSK31 Mailing List" -ttitle "PSK31 Mailing \
list (by thread)" -outdir /home/httpd/html/psk31 /var/spool/mail/mhonarch
The messages are taken from /var/spool/mail/mhonarc which is a mail account
that gets the message from majordomo.
Everything else is untouched from distribution. The list is at:
http://bipt106.bi.ehu.es/psk31/maillist.html
Here is the message as taken from the file: The only strange thing with
this message is that each paragraph of the text from it is not wrapped,
it's a (very) long line.

I am not familiar with the ICOM 756, but would warn anyone contemplating a
mix of CW and SSB modes for working PSK31 that you MUST have both transmit
and receive effectively on the same sideband. This means checking to see
which sideband your CW mode is actually on. You should be able to do this
by comparing which way the audio tone changes as you tuen the main tuning
knob in a particular direction.
If you don't, two things will go wrong when working PSK31:
(1) The "NET" and "AFC" functions in all known PSk31 implementations, when
combined, enable you to reply on the same frequency as the station who just
passed it to you to transmit. This works fine in a simple transceive
arrangement but if you are transmitting and receiving on opposite
sidebands, the AFC/NET combination will shift your transmitter the wrong
way up the band when trying to track drift.
(2) The phase polarity of QPSK will be opposite on transmit to what it is
on receive, so there will not be a single setting of the "invert QPSK"
checkbox which will allow you to have a two-way QSO.
