The docs haven't pointed me in the right direction so far, maybe I'm not
looking at the correct section....
Each month is a separate archive. Therefore, you need a preprocessor
to designate which archive a message should goto. Many use Procmail
for this task. Some use custom scripts.
There may be some examples in the mailing list archives. If not,
maybe some users can provide you with examples.
