mh autoconf has been a dream of mine for a long time! i've always disliked
the bizarre and laborious process of configuring mh - the poor maintenance
it has received for the last few years shows in the large volume of posts
from people having problems getting it to install. bravo! i fervently hope
it gets into the distribution as the standard.
i'd be willing to test it; i have solaris, unixware, and hp machines
available.
