I have been atempting to install nmh on our HP machine (uname -a is:
HP-UX comms4 B.10.20 B 9000/820)
but I keep getting a memory fault and core dump when I run the resulting inc
command
(and various others like next and pref). This happens with nmh versions
0.17, 0.26 and 0.27. Curiously on an earlier system (uname is:
HP-UX comms2 B.10.01 B 9000/887)
running nmh 0.17 I have no trouble.
I'm pretty sure you are running into a bug with the sed command in
post-processing the lex output in zotnet/tws. There was a patch
available from HP, but they withdrew it. I haven't seen a
replacement, but I haven't been watching too closely.
Fortunately, an already processed file is available. Just copy
dtimep.c-lexed to dtimep.c in the directory mentioned above and make
sure that the timestamp is newer than dtimep.lex.
