since i'm sure others have thought about this in the past, i have
to ask, even though i think the answer is "no":
can anyone see a way of integrating the mh notion of per-message
storage with the maildir notion of per-message storage? i've
been trying to think of schemes involving hard- or soft-links, or
other ways of rationalizing the namespace differences (i.e.,
numeric mh names vs. time-inode-host maildir names). but i'm
coming up short.
the idea, of course, would be to move mh to a more popular, and
better-supported mailstore. i might even be willing to sacrifice
esoteric mh features that might depend on properties of the mh
store, as long as most basic functionality were preserved.
