Specifically, they assume all output is in UTF-8 (because that's how
Plan 9 works), but that's not a valid assumption for us.
Aside from whether that stdio would be helpful, is it time we switch to
assuming UTF-8?
If that's really a problem for users that can demonstrate why they must
remain using non-UTF-8 then perhaps an iconv or similar slapped on nmh's
stdout and stderr would keep them happy. A bit `Eww', but would keep
the 1% happy, maybe.
