[Nmh-workers] Username containing "." appears to cause test to fail

Hi everyone,

I'm running OS X 10.9.5 and my username on this machine
"gregory.nisbet". I believe this is causing one of the tests to fail.

I followed the following procedure for installing `nmh`

%  mkdir -p $HOME/opt/nmh
%  cd $HOME/nmh
%  git clone git://git.savannah.nongnu.org/nmh.git
%  sh autogen.sh
%  ./configure
%  make check |& tee /tmp/error.log

Here's the output of the last command

slocal: no such local user as nisbet
FAIL: test/slocal/test-slocal

I've tried looking through the test-slocal script and it isn't obvious
to me where the error is occurring.

Please let me know if there's any additional information that would be helpful.
