I'm guessing, but am not certain, that the answer is in the next paragraph
about mhbuild. I.e, the only thing that send does is whatever mhbuild does.
In some cases, mhbuild is all that send does. But send can do
some optional things as well, notably setting up OAUTH
parameters, supporting sendfrom, and splitting the message (with
-split). All of those are mentioned in the man page.
