There's always lag time, so problems like this are to be expected.  A
ltter to the editor seems reasonable.  It might be useful to have
several of us sign the same letter, and in particular, I'd suggest we
invite Matt to participate.

If you want to draft the letter, that's fine.  I haven't seen the
issue, else I would volunteer to do it.
