Cryptography systems

1993-03-30 11:55:00

I am interested in cryptography systems, and especially public key systems
such as RSA. I was referred to your organization by RSA Data Security Inc.
They suggested that your organization has examples of source code to perform
cryptography on e-mail. I am especially interested in examples for the
Macintosh.

Hi Anthony,

There is a collection of source code which implements RSA Digital
Signatures and RSA Digital Envelopes called RSAREF. It is licensed
free of charge and is available to U.S. persons only (government
rules, not ours) via anonymous ftp from rsa.com. RSAREF comes with an
application called RIPEM, Mark Riordan's RSAREF-based privacy-enhanced
mail application, along with a MAC-specific interface and an Emacs
command interface.

For more information, send mail to rsaref(_at_)rsa(_dot_)com or anonymous ftp to
rsa.com and get the README file in the rsaref subdirectory.

Cheers,
Steve Dusse
