The discussion of CRLs brings up an interesting question. Will CAs be required to archive all CRLs ever issued so at any point in time we can return to the state of the world at any time in the past? The easy answer is that this is a matter of a PCA's policy but given the fundamental importance of this issue, it should probably be a requirement of PEM. -Ray
