Bob,
You posted a message thanking others for not engaging in a flame fest,
followed immediately by a message expressing doubt in your discussion
partner's integrity, and ending with "Never trust anyone who is all hat
and no cattle." Let's relegate flames to personal mail.
The issue seems to be whether encouraging the destruction of anonymity
and the resultant loss of free speech is worth gaining more financial
accountability. I am certain our Founding Fathers would not have made
that trade. The Supreme Court appears to agree.
Financial accountability is certainly valuable in some situations. But
what place does it have in Privacy Enhanced Mail? A separate RFC seems
more appropriate.
