The NADF uses the states (etc.) as defined in FIPS 5 (which I've never seen,
myself). Someone should probably order a copy (or Email Ted Myer) to see
if it includes these new "pseudo states".
As to multiline addresses, X.520 (88 and 93) define a "postalAddress"
attribute which is a 6 line by 30 character representation (i.e. an ASN.1
SEQUENCE (SIZE (1..6) OF <some kind of string> (SIZE (1..30)). I've heard
from a fairly reliable source that this was designed to fit into a standard
window on an envelope.
Since I won't be able to make the ABA meeting in NY, could you Email me your
final list of example DNs? (Michael assures me the next one will be in
Washington...).
