I strongly object to your new process of issuing a motion for change in
proposed standard with only a 3 day ultimatum during a period when many

If you are now establishing some formality to change request, please allow a
longer fixed period of time (like a week). During this holiday season, you
might consider even a longer period.

While I don't have any objections to lodge against the positions, I agree
with Paul here. The time period is too short, especially in a holiday
season. Even without the holidays, the time period may expire long before
the positions filter out to some corners of the net.

I suggest that we should probably leave any kind of motions or whatever
until near the end of January when most concerned parties can be expected
to be back (I'll be away for 2 weeks in January, though hopefully I'll
still have an e-mail box handy). By all means continue to debate the
issues though.

Cheers,

Rhys.
