I support Jeff Thompson's proposal to require the public key as
Originator-ID and Receipient-ID as it creates the most
interoperability and least confusion and quickest deployment (IMO).
This is also in line with the proposals that are floating around for
the next revision of PKCS #7.
Migrating the various, nefarious name forms to the
application/pemkey-data type would be an excellent compromise. (Uncle
!!!)
I also support the position put forth by Paul Lambert, a 3 day
ultimatum during the holiday season is probably not the best way to
achieve consensus.
