The Privacy-Enhanced Electronic Mail (pem) Working Group in the
Secutiry Area of the IETF has concluded.
The IESG contact person is Jeffrey Schiller.
This seems like an appropriate time to say "Thanks!" and "Well Done!" to Dave
Balenson and the folks at TIS for having maintained the pem-dev mailing list --
one of the best run lists I have come across -- and the PEM archives, which I
believe may be of considerable interest when someone gets around to writing the
history of secure communications some day.
I'd also like to suggest that the pem-dev list may still serve a useful purpose
for public discussion on the subject of secure e-mail and the public key
infrastructure, and to respectfully request that TIS consider keeping the list
alive.
