We have developed a security add on for the message/external-body
MIME-bodypart. It's called MROSS - Mime Referenced Object Security
Services. The simple idea is to transfer security information of a
protected refenced data object within the external-body bodypart. At
3rd ACM CCS in March there is a paper about this approach. Look at
http://www.csl.sri.com/acm-ccs/ccs3/program.txt . I will put a
PS-version (it prints well, despite ghostview reports errors) into our
projects WWW-page http://www.fokus.gmd.de/ovma/mmmsec/ .
