It seems to me, short of having private list memberships or requiring sender ID's to allow you to "email bomb" the culprits, this can only increase. Is privacy-enhanced mail part of a solution?
How about having the list exploder put something in the message header to indicate whether the sender is a list member? If a list got hit too often by noise from outside I could then make the list "private" for me by filtering on this attribute. Graham
