I'd suggest you also post your message to perl-dist(_at_)perl(_dot_)org (they
think
about distributions, and the list was set up in response to someone
wondering what could be left out of core Perl as it now stands) and
perl5-porters(_at_)perl(_dot_)org (the Perl maintainers).
You'll probably find more knowledgeable people on those lists.
