the documentation says that this should work but i get the following
behavior on my sparc 10 running solaris 2.4. i did a standard build
for solaris of version v3.10 1994/10/31.
if biff is off in the shell or COMSAT=no in the .procmailrc file,
then mail which is sorted into a folder and not sent to the system
folder is not reported as having arrived. if biff is on in both,
the last message in the system folder is reported as new mail when a
message which gets sorted arrives, as in the following example:
maze(_at_)rfs63: maze>date && mail -s "test" maze < /dev/null
Tue Mar 26 12:55:28 PST 1996
maze(_at_)rfs63: maze>
New mail for maze(_at_)rfs63 has arrived:
