Should I use 3.10 or 3.11-pre4?
I would recommend 3.11-pre4, as it fixes various 3.10 bugs, and is
quite stable. We're using it here at Gustavus under varying load
(12.7k messages/day averaged over the last week) with nary a problem.
Are there any necessary patches for 3.11-pre4?
Nope.
What is the latest word on 3.11-pre5, or a
production release?
Production release? That would imply non-production releases. :-)
Seriously, I personally consider 3.11-pre[34] both production quality
releases. Stephen is apparently planning on making a true 3.11
release, but no word when.
