sorry for clogging up your inbox... but it would really help
those people who would like to help if I provide further
technical info. :

any help is much much appreciated.
all I would like to do is to file the mailing list mails into the
appropriate mailfiles (like firewall)... and then forward email to
my compuserve account and yet keep a copy in a local mail files (like
personal_inbox) instead on the company server.
any suggestion will be gratefully accepted.
cheers
gareth

Subject: procmail: how to forward mail instead of 'filing'?
Content-Length: 1366
Everybody good afternoon.. ;)
I have read the faq for setting up Procmail (parts contained
within the filtering-email faq).
I have setup the .procmail directory (with rc.testing and rc.maillists)
with .procmailrc and .forward.
sent two messages and they seem to have worked except the plain one
which didn't get back to my inbox.
log file is:
___________
frodo:garethw(34)% mailstat .procmail/log
Total Number Folder
----- ------ ------
0 2 **Bounced**
325 1 IN.testing
_______________
which raised a question... as I didn't know those which do not
fit into those rc files are to be 'bounced'!!
therefore, could anybody tell me how to:
1.) trap all the messages which do not fit into the rc.xxx files
and put them in my original inbox?
2.) how to forward these messages to an alternative email address
and then keep a copy of it in the in-box??
3.) performing the forwarding function except keeping the msgs in
a local file (probably within a mailfile in /home/mail/*)
this is very urgent for me.. as I need to set it up before monday..
any help is much appreciated.
thanks a lot.
best regards
Gareth Wong
