Oops. This is the sort of the tricky bit.
I handle it by having a "hit-list" of subject lines or sender
addresses in my personal .procmailrc that kicks off a copy of the
message to my "pageme" recipient, which is implemented as a sendmail
alias. This may not be the best way to do things; I'd be interested
to hear others' comments and ideas.
It does allow *you* to define in what gets to your pager, and I'd
personally rather not have email page me by default; then the spam
would be hitting the airwaves, since it wouldn't match any of the
autofile (mailing list) rules. I find it most handy to slap
somebody's email address into a file when we've got important or
pending business that day or the next, and know that it'll come up on
the pager. But I *hate* having the pager go off unnecessarily.
One other thing you might want to consider is putting a "blacklist"
line in the pager-destined .procmailrc. Once somebody figures out how
to get email to your pager, it can be hard to get them to stop. :-(
