Hi Ed Hew! I'm a UNIX administrator and I like to fight spam!
If the back up is in place, what is the procedure, or will we
all mysteriously get a (somehow authenticated) announcement
from an unknown source? If there is none in place, perhaps
there should be. Hopefully the "right" party might step
forward to be the backup. If there's a dearth of "right"
parties, call on me as a last resort.
Checking if zorch goes down would be simple enough through a cron
job running ping. Also, the list could be set up through procmail and
Elm aliasing as a quick hack. I'd volunteer, but I don't think my ISP
wants THAT much e-mail. ;-) I'll offer any assistance on writing
scripts, though.
Regards,
