We're having a problem with some procmail process getting "stuck."
While most mail does get right through, we have several of these every
day:
bhaggert 21476 0.0 0.1 2.10M 208K ?? S 00:36:13 0:03.97 procmail
-f ks287(_at_)columbia(_dot_)edu -t -Y -a -d bhaggert
casey 25633 0.0 0.1 2.10M 208K ?? S 02:02:40 0:02.65 procmail
-f owner-hrsfa-announce(_at_)hcs(_dot_)harvard(_dot_)edu -t -Y -a -d casey
PID 21476 has been sitting there for almost 9 hours.
Neither user has a .forward or .procmailrc file, both are under quota, and
perms and ownership check out.
I've never seen this before. Can anyone help?
The /var/spool/mail dir is NFS mounted by the box running
sendmail (8.8.5) and procmail. Both machines are running Digital UNIX
4.0.
ANY ideas would be appreciated!
