Looking for some help

1997-02-23 21:08:56
Hi there... I've been a procmail user for almost a year now, I use it to
filter my mail as well as maintain an auto fileserver, however, I was
wondering if someone could help me out with a more ambitious script...

I recently signed up to a mail forwarding service, and now they have
begun appending little advertisements to the beginning of each email
message. The good news is that each ad ends with a line of tilde
characters (~), so this could easily lend itself to filtering....

But alas, my knowledge of procmail isn't formidable enough to write this
simple script, so I'm asking if someone out there could give me a little
help.... here is what a sample message looks like...

Everything above and including the line of tildes is garbage, and as you
can imagine, pretty annoying..... that's what I'd like to get filtered.
The number of tildes in that line stays constant so that it what has to be
used in the filter.

I hope this isn't asking for too much, I'd appreciate any help... please
email me directly at ginof(_at_)interlog(_dot_)com, as I am no longer
subscribed to
the procmail list.....

Once again, thank you.
