Philip Guenther <guenther(_at_)gac(_dot_)edu> writes:

Did you change the flags on the local mailer in any way? In particular,
the mailer should have both the 'S' and 'n' flags. Removing either of
those would give the shown result.

Here is the definition:

Mlocal,         P=/usr/local/bin/procmail, F=lsDFMAw5:/|@qSPfhn9,
                S=10/30, R=20/40, C=iso-8859-1, T=DNS/RFC822/X-Unix,
                A=procmail -Y -a $h -d $u

This *really* makes me think the 'S' flag got removed.

The S flag is there for all. :-(

Oh wait! If sendmail lost it's setuid bit, then this would also occur,
so check that as well.

Here is my sendmail:

splat:labrown:~ $ ls -l /usr/lib/sendmail
-r-sr-xr-x    1 root     sys       905036 Jan 23 14:01 /usr/lib/sendmail*

so it looks like the setuid bit is still on. I'm totally lost now.

Also, The -d11.1 debug switch isn't working so I can't see what
arguments procmail is being given. :-(

P.S.  I attended GAC from '85-'90
