Hi Robert Nicholson! I'm a UNIX administrator, spamfighter, and a virusfighter!
OK this sounds interesting.

Just exactly what do you consider spam then?

Please define the rules you use to identify spam.

Spam is sending out a considerible quantity of messages which are
unwelcome. Examples include crossposting something to 20+ irrelavent
groups on Usenet or sending junk e-mail to thousands or even millions of
people who never asked for it.

You can find TONS of information at http://spam.abuse.net.
