Perhaps there is a better way (using some AI program) to have the

Good luck with that idea ;-)
This is starting to get off the topic of procmail, but the topic of
forwarding to pagers seems to come up often enough on this list...
A couple of quick thoughts (assuming english) and every character is
expensive:
* remove vowels - "pls cll yr wf"; remove "most" vowels so
that common words like "you" and "me" get through
* remove double letters (ff, ll, etc.)
* replace "one", "two", etc. with 1, 2; "for" with 4, "you" with U
* convert date/times to a compact format: 751853
* remove punctuation
Quite a bit fancier would be to parse sentences and just forward the
"telegraph" portion - remember sentence diagraming from high-school?
The quick red fox jumped over the lazy brown dogs.
become something like
Fox jumped over dogs.
