I have the foolowing recipe right at the top of rc.folders:
:0 Wh: msgid.lock
| /user/lhecking/bin/`/bin/machine`/formail -D 8192 msgid.cache
This is taken (more or less) straight from procmailex(5). The
`/bin/machine` part takes care that the correct binary is picked
for the mailhost architecture, so that I don't have to make changes
in case mailhost moves.
I keep getting these messages in the log file:
procmail: Executing "/bin/machine"
procmail: [18187] Tue May 27 16:09:04 1997
procmail: Locking "msgid.lock"
procmail: Executing "/user/lhecking/bin/sparc/formail,-D,8192,msgid.cache"
procmail: Program failure (1) of "/user/lhecking/bin/sparc/formail"
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
procmail: Assigning "LASTFOLDER=/user/lhecking/bin/sparc/formail -D 8192
msgid.cache"
procmail: Unlocking "msgid.lock"
The correct binary is picked up. I can run formail from shell.
What's going on? How can I find out more?
