I have had procmail installed on a Solaris 2.5 system for some time, but
just recently occasional mail messages to an account invoking procmail in
its .forward file (in the standard way) fail to be delivered and sendmail
gives an error similar to
May 29 15:45:23 ltsun0 sendmail[20576]: PAA20573: SYSERR(cgp): mailer prog
died with signal 13
(occasionally the signal is 213 not 13)
The mail message remains in the queue and if you try to force the mail
queue, the first message usually gets delivered but the rest get deferred
again.
I was running procmail-3.10. I have now upgraded to procmail-3.11pre7
and still see the problem.
Can someone enlighten me as to what's going wrong ?
