Changing Lock Directory

My appolgies if this has been brought up.

I have searched the data bases for this and have found none that I know 
of.  Im getting the following error

procmail: Lock failure on "/usr/spool/mail/kf7qz.lock"

I know the reason is that I dont have the access to the mail directory, 
but I have a parinoid sysop and he is unwilling to allow access. Is there 
a command that I can redirect the lock file.  I cannot get to MAN 
PROCMAIL as again he wont allow me to do that.
