The error from log is:
procmail: Executing "/usr/bin/fgrep,-i,-f,/home/e15/bias/nobounce"
procmail: Program failure (1) of "/usr/bin/fgrep"
procmail: Assigning "LASTFOLDER=/usr/bin/fgrep -i -f
/home/e15/bias/nobounce"
Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
It's a "simulated problem" Unix is a heterogenous aggregate of hacks and
patches that pay lipservice to standards and conventions. In this case,
procmail is calling a program and expecting the called program to follow
the standard for results: zero equals success. But with fgrep, "success"
means it found a match, and failure 1 means no match (failure 2 means
something else was wrong). Since procmail treats failure (from its
viewpoint) as not matching the condition, the recipe still works even
though the log looks funny to us newbies--yes, I was asking the same
question earlier this month. :-)
