 Why aren't you using `smartlist'?

Some people subscribe to commercial ISPs which do not provide
SmartList, Listproc, Listserv, Majordomo, and the like, and do not
permit their use. And changing access providers may not be a
feasible option in all cases. I have heard that there are service
providers from which one can run a "real" mailing list -- usually
for a fee -- but I don't know where they are or whether they are
any good.
